Tipton, IN – Now more than ever, businesses are looking for better ways to provide high-quality health benefits to employees while controlling the rising costs of healthcare. Over the last decade employer premiums have risen over 50% to address the rising cost of health care. This has a direct impact on the employer profitability and employee wages. Through a partnership with Indiana University Health Plans, members of the Tipton County Chamber of Commerce can save on average 18% on premiums, with some companies achieving 25% savings, when they sign up for an IU Health Chamber of Commerce plan.
Anchored in Indiana University Health—the state’s leading healthcare system, IU Health Plans provides cost-effective health insurance solutions with an integrated care model. This care model facilitates better outcomes and personalized care through a population health program, shared electronic platform and community health outreach. The impact of this integration means an employer can achieve healthcare affordability without sacrificing high quality medical care or patient engagement.
Chamber members will also benefit from:
- Substantial savings on premiums, with costs significantly below the rest of the marketplace*
- An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to address employee mental health needs
- Trained member advocates to assist newly enrolled employees with finding in-network providers and pharmacies and scheduling healthcare appointments with IU Health providers
"With talent attraction being a top priority for nearly every community throughout the United States, our unique partnership with IU Health Plans is our community's first effort at addressing the obstacles faced by our local business community," stated Tipton County Chamber Executive Director, Kegan Schmicker. "Employer offered healthcare has become a necessity in the modern job market and this offering will help to make Tipton County more competitive for talent in our region."
With this offer, two IU Health Select plans are available for chamber members. For employers near an IU Health facility, the IU Health Select plan primarily offers access to IU Health and American Health Network providers. A second plan—IU Health Select Plus—gives employees access to IU Health facilities and providers, as well providers and facilities affiliated with Community Health, Deaconess and others.
Eligible employers must be domiciled in Indiana and located within one of IU Health Plans’ select rating areas. Some minimum contribution, participation requirements and out-of-state maximum conditions apply.
