COVID-19 Testing Site and Vaccine Clinic Updates
TIPTON, Ind. – Indiana University Health Tipton Hospital and the Tipton County Health Department continue to partner on testing sites and a vaccine clinic in the community. As we work to continue our path forward to eliminate the spread of COVID-19, we will be updating the process for community members to be tested and vaccinated.
The community testing site at IU Health Tipton Hospital will offer appointments through February 5. Beginning the week of February 8, there will be one testing site, located at 121 W. Madison Street and one vaccine site, located at IU Health Tipton Hospital.
Community members needing a test will be directed to the testing site located at 121 W. Madison Street. Individuals must register for an appointment by visiting https://scheduling.
The COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic will remain at IU Health Tipton Hospital and be offered by appointment only. The vaccine is currently available to individuals ages 70 and older, as well as to licensed and unlicensed healthcare workers and first responders who have face-to-face interactions with patients or infectious material or work in a public-facing position that requires in-person contact. For more information and to schedule an appointment, please visit ourshot.in.gov or call 2-1-1. The vaccination clinic is experiencing high volumes and has scheduled appointments based on the number of vaccines sent to the county each week. Community members eligible for the vaccine are encouraged to visit ourshot.in.gov or call 2-1-1 to schedule an appointment at the nearest clinic. The Tipton County Health Department cannot schedule appointments at this time.
